This Mom’s Tattoo Helps Her Son Communicate

Jessica Fletcher, a mother from Fredericton, Canada, achieved supermom status when she tattooed a keyboard across her forearm so her 11-year-old nonverbal autistic son, Hunter, would always have a way to communicate with her.

The tattoo features letters, happy and sad faces, and an “I love you” button, turning Jessica’s arm into a permanent communication tool. Now, other parents have begun to do the same, as posted on Fletcher’s official Facebook page, Hunters Voice.

Sometimes a tattoo is just a tattoo. And sometimes, it’s a way to make sure someone you love will always have a voice.
