Are you a fan of this Nickelodeon classic?
“SpongeBob SquarePants” is the longest running animated show in Nickelodeon’s history. Coming in second is “The Fairly OddParents,” which ran for 10 seasons from 2001 to 2017. The series was created by Butch Hartman, who’d go on to create other popular series for the network including “Danny Phantom.” “The Fairly OddParents” initially ran as a short as part of the animated anthology series “Oh Yeah! Cartoons.” It ran as a short from 1998 to 2001 and because of its popularity, it was later green-lit into a 30-minute series. Explore fan dedication with The Fairly OddParents Tattoos showcasing beloved characters like Timmy Turner, Cosmo, Wanda, and more in creative and colorful ink designs.
“The Fairly OddParents” follows a 10-year-old boy who’s neglected by his parents and treated poorly by his shrill babysitter, Vicky. Yet, he’s granted two fairy godparents, Cosmo and Wanda, who have the power to grant his every wish. However, these wishes ultimately backfire on Timmy and he’s tasked with picking up the pieces. Voice actor Tara Strong plays Timmy, who you may recognize as the voice of Dil Pickles from “Rugrats” and Bubbles from “The Powerpuff Girls.” Many celebrities have also lent their voices to the show over the years, including Jay Leno, Alec Baldwin, Jason Bateman and Gilbert Gottfried.
Although the series came to an end in 2018, the universe has expanded with a spin-off series. “The Fairly OddParents: Fairly Odder.” This series, which is a mix of live-action and animation, premiered on March 31, 2022. Cosmo and Wanda return to this series, this time aiding in the adventures of Timmy Turner’s cousin Viv Turner—who’s portrayed by Audrey Grace Marshall. This spin-off series, as well as the original, are available for streaming on Paramount+.
