Alysha Nett checks in with us as often as her busy schedule will allow to give her insight on modeling, tattoos and art. She even throws in a recipe from time to time. Alysha always makes sure to include plenty of sexy pictures of her exploits, so check back often to see what she’s been up to.

Hello to my Inked family!

In this installment of Beyond the Ink, I was lucky enough to photograph the striking Miss Cervena Fox during her trip to Los Angeles last month. I was browsing the model’s Instagram when I saw she was visiting from the UK and I knew I had to take her photo while I had the chance! Cervena and I first met a couple years ago in London when we modeled together for a clothing brand. She was so nice and fun to be around and I learned that not much had changed when we caught up for the shoot below.

Hi Cervena! Can you introduce yourself for those who may not know?
Hi! I’m Cervena Fox and I am an international model from London England. I perform with fire, solo and in my fire group Pyrohex – and also I’m learning to tattoo again.

How long have you been performing and modeling?
Modeling for 6 to 7 years and performing for 2to 3 years.

How did you master the skill of fire performance?
I still haven’t! Fire is so unexpected every time you perform with it and I believe you never stop learning how to use the equipment and present yourself on stage. Main thing you have to learn first is how to perform with the equipment without it being on fire and then the safety measures with fire. That took me a year on its own!

How often do you choreograph new routines?
Every few months, or if I have a very special show. I tend to find the music first and it just comes to me and I imagine what kind of show I can do to the tune and BAM!!!! I have a new show!

Your costumes are incredible! Do you work with one designer in particular?
I work with many designers, with Pyrohex I wear lots of Filthy Dirty the brand & Malice clothing!

It’s so amazing that you’re able to travel and perform around the world. Where is your favorite place to perform? Is that the same city you most love to visit?
My favorite place from performing has to have been New Zealand! It’s one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been to. But my most loved city to visit, at the moment, is NYC in USA… It’s very much become my new home this last year.

You’ve been posting some doodles and practice tattoos on Instagram.. is there a new career path in your future?
Yes 100%!!! ! I used to tattoo when I was 16 and did an apprenticeship for two years. Due to living in a small town, being a long time ago, and being a woman at that, I was looked down on so much that it was too much pressure for me. So I decided to take on modelling tattoos and come back to this later on in life. Well…that is happening now and I’m very excited and lucky to be doing this with the support from incredible artists!

Do you have any new tattoo plans in the future?
Well in a few weeks I’m hoping to have my left leg basically finished and then in April to start my right leg. I’m going for two lions fighting on my knee and then more tarot cards on my right leg. Very excited for that!

Who is your go-to tattoo artist?
Antony Fleming from World of Tattoos in Ruislip Manor, England. I trust him so much!!! He’s been tattooing me 3 to 4 years now and I find it very hard to go to someone else. It’s like a relationship! When someone else tattoos me I feel like I’m cheating on him! Haha!

Any advice for someone getting their first tattoo?
Think about it! Because that’s on you for life and a lot of people now a days have forgotten that. I took 2 years planning my sleeves and then got them done. I have occasionally drawn the tattoo on my skin with a sharpie to even see if I’d like it on me… 3 out of 4 times I do and then I get it tattooed on me. But I have drawn a few tattoos on myself and thought – naaaa! That’s too much! You never know! Get those sharpies out and get drawing hahahaha!
