Celebrity Tattoo Artist Dr. Woo Created a Clothing Line For Kids
Would You Dress Up Your Youngsters in Tattoo-Inspired Clothing?
In 2018, a tattooer can’t just be an artist on skin, they need to find other ways to stand out and promote their brand across multiple industries. This is why many artists have branched out to create clothing lines, aftercare products or YouTube empires to take their careers to the next level. Take a look at one of the top tattoo artists in the game and their latest project in the gallery below, then let us know your thoughts on this story in the comments section on Facebook.
Dr. Woo is one of the most sought after celebrity tattooers of this generation. His tiny and delicate fine-line tattoos have caught the attention of numerous high profile stars—including Miley Cyrus, Kylie Jenner and Ariel Winter.
However, Woo is much more than just an artist to Hollywood’s elite. He’s also an entrepreneur and a designer who has created collaborations with major brands. For example, he worked with Converse to create a line of tattoo inspired sneakers and apparel. And while we loved his line with the iconic shoe brand, it was limited edition and these items have quickly become collectors items. However, Woo has recently launched a brand new fashion project that takes his brand to a totally different level.
In addition to being a world-renowned tattoo artist and designer, Woo is also a family man. Woo and his wife Jayme Free have two sons—who play an extremely big role in their father’s life. Which is why, Woo and his wife along with her friend Jo Scapa decided to create a line of cool yet comfortable children’s clothes.
“LA moms Jayme Free Woo and Jo Scapa searched endlessly for their kids to have cozy and cool lifestyle necessities, but kept coming up short. That’s when Juju + Woo was born,” explains founders of Juju + Woo.
“They’ve joined forces with Jayme’s husband, tattoo artist and fashion influencer Dr. Woo to bring you the dopest, sickest, illest, raddest, flyest, coziest kid swag around.”
While Juju + Woo may be brand new, they’ve already launched two exciting projects for kids. The first is their line of pajama sets, which come in three unique and curated styles: Holiday Star, Swallow and Rose. The designs for the pajamas were drawn up by Woo and are extremely similar to his famous tattoo style. The pajama sets range from 18-24mo all the way up to 4T—and are made of 100% cotton. Each set retails for $60 and includes a long sleeved tee and pant.
Juju + Woo also offers a grey hoodie which includes their logo in script on the front and a teal swallow on the back. The hoodie ranges from sizes 2T to 6, is made of 100% cotton fleece and retails for $50.
Lastly, Juju + Woo plan to release a line of bed sheets, however, fans will have to wait a little bit longer to take a peek at those.
What do you think about Dr. Woo’s brand new clothing line? Are you dying to buy your kids one of their items for Christmas? Let us know your thoughts, opinions and questions in the comments section on Facebook.
