With the premiere of Star Wars: The Force Awakens being so close to the holidays, it isn’t a surprise that almost every single store you walk into is filled to the brim with items celebrating the galaxy far, far away. From kitchenware to life size accessories, there is something for everyone and some fans are even willing to pay a pretty penny for their Star Wars gear. This year, the company ZapBoomBang, came up with a way to incorporate the love of everything Star Wars and the holiday spirit of giving. The Houston based digital production company joined forces with artists from Lopez Negrete Communications to creative a real reason for the season by designing their own Stormtrooper helmets. Each helmet was custom designed and was put up for bidding on The Force for Toys website.
Usually the profits would go back to the company or even the artists, but not this time. 100% of all profits made were sent directly to the well known non-profit organization Toys for Tots. With the starting bids set at $50 per helmet, each helmet sold for double and even triple the starting amount. Check out just some of the amazing Stormtrooper helmets that sold below.
