Brian Gonzales is the owner of the famous Inkslingers tattoo studio in Alhambra, California, and is also one hell of a black and grey tattooist. Best known for his realism and portraiture, Gonzales can beautifully recreate the world as you see it with ink on skin.

Take a look at this amazing tattoo above. Not only did Gonzales bring to life the iconic childhood toy, Buzz Lightyear, from Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story, but he was also able to masterfully render the piece on a client’s foot. Feet can be pretty tricky, but the smooth shades and highlights inked by Gonzales came out beautifully, regardless.

What we really love about this piece is that, unlike most foot tattoos, Gonzales did not stop at the start of the toes. Instead, Gonzales incorporated the toes into the piece and was able to successfully include Buzz Lightyear’s famous utility arm and laser pointer into the tattoo.

Choosing to use a bold, dark background not only highlights the character in the foreground, but will also help ensure that the tattoo lasts through all of the daily wear and tear a foot goes through. And let’s be real, no client is going to want any wear and tear come to a piece as gorgeous as this!
