We probably all know Ami James from his work with TLC‘s Miami Ink and NY Ink, but the celebrity tattooist and shop owner has broadened his horizons so much more since the initial airings of those shows. As the owner of Miami’s Love Hate Social Club and New York’s Wooster Street Social Club, James has built up a steady clientele in America as his shops’ artists are constantly on rotation traveling across the country to reach as many people as they can. With this idea in mind, James decided to take his Love Hate brand internationally when he opened Love Hate London in London, England, last year. With the success that shop achieved, James knew he could do more. In this short film by Shane Serrano, viewers get an inside look at the launch of James’ latest shop, Love Hate Cork. For this endeavor, James partnered up with Ireland native Ross Nagle. Nagle is a tattooist who frequents James’ American shops and is also the owner of the prestigious Allstar Ink in Limerick, Ireland, so joining forces to open up one master shop was a total no brainer. Just as with James’ other tattoo social clubs, Love Hate Cork works with a revolving roster of artists who frequently travel from shop to shop to reach their vastly growing clientele. Artists at Love Hate Cork include American Traditional tattooer Luke Wessman and black and grey artist Tommy Montoya. Take a look at this amazing video to find out just what went into bringing Love Hate Cork together and how it has successfully taken off in the Irish tattoo scene.
