Nicky Jam Makes His INKED Debut

A second chance is not a luxury afforded to many. Therefore, if life presents you with an opportunity, and you find the necessary will within you to redeem yourself, it would behoove you to take advantage of it. Award-winning Latin music superstar Nicky Jam can tell you that from personal experience. Heralded as one of the pioneers and most well-known artists of reggaeton music during the genre’s first golden age, the artist would later find himself in a very dark place in life, losing almost everything he had gained in the process. But, years later, he found the will to pick himself up and rise from the ashes like a phoenix.

Born Nick Rivera Caminero in Lawrence, Massachusetts, and raised for most of his life in Puerto Rico, the reggaeton music artist began his career before his teen years, dropping his first album at the precocious age of 12. Years later he would make a name for himself as one of the hottest acts of reggaeton’s infancy. However, after years of success, the limelight began to dim as Nicky Jam plummeted into the depths of addiction.
