Without a doubt, one of the biggest and most tragic events of 2018 so far has been the Parkland shooting. On February 14th, a mass shooting devastated a suburban high school, Marjory Stoneman Douglas, killing seventeen students and faculty members in total. It’s since been recorded as the 11th deadliest mass shooting in world history, narrowly beating out Columbine. Many students and activists around the country have campaigned for national gun control, even founding the organization Never Again MSD.
