For years we believed that the only two things rice was good for was eating (obviously) and throwing at weddings. Then we were introduced to the world of rice paddy art. By very carefully planting a few different varieties of the grain in the same paddy farmers are able to create images that can be seen from above. Since the leaves of the plants grow in different colors one can make all sorts of different pictures if they know what they are doing. In the gallery below you will see some amazing examples of an art for mwe never even dreamed was possible.
