The spotlight shifts from Patrick Swayze and the original cast to a new lineup of characters. Amazon MGM Studios recently unveiled character posters, giving fans a glimpse into the revamped world of bouncers and bar proprietors. Post Malone joins the cast as Carter, following his pre-Super Bowl performance of “America the Beautiful.”
The revamped cast includes Jake Gyllenhaal in the lead role of Dalton, originally portrayed by Swayze. This time, Dalton is an ex-UFC fighter striving to leave his violent past behind. With a full left arm sleeve of ink, he is struggling to make ends meet when Frankie (Jessica Williams), the owner of a roadhouse in the Florida Keys, recruits him as her new bouncer. Their goal is to thwart a violent gang, employed by crime boss Brandt (Billy Magnussen), from destroying the bar. Despite facing overwhelming odds, Dalton’s combat prowess proves unmatched against Brandt’s crew. However, the stakes escalate with the arrival of ruthless gun-for-hire Knox (Conor McGregor).
