Once Upon a Time, In a Tattoo Parlor Far, Far Away…
In 1995, Disney released the movie Pocahontas and we were introduced to it’s first tattooed Disney princess. Pocahontas, the daughter of a powerful Algonquin chief, had a red armband placed around her right bicep and over twenty years later—she is still the only Disney princess with ink. And while 2016 did introduce audiences to the most tattooed characters in the company’s history with the critically acclaimed film, Moana, we have yet to see another princess decorated in ink. But, just because their stories may have ended without a trace of tattoos, that doesn’t mean that some of our favorite Disney princesses wouldn’t have gone under the needle during their happily ever after.
