If we’ve told you once we’ve told you a million times, you have to be really careful before getting someone’s name tattooed on to your body. The most recent example of a jilted lover regretting their ink comes to us in the form of Australian rapper Iggy Azalea. Back in 2011 when the star was dating fellow musician A$AP Rocky she showed her dedication to her beau by inking “Live, Love, A$AP” on the inside of her fingers.
Azalea is continuing to live and love, she was engaged to Los Angeles Laker Nick Young a little over a month ago, but A$AP has been out of her life for a while and it appears as if she is getting the work done to get him out of her skin as well. Upon exiting a cosmetic surgeon recently Azalea was photographed with bandages on all three of her fingers, a tell-tale sign that she is likely having the tattoos removed. She had previously had an “X” tattooed through the “A$AP” but it appears as if she is taking the next step.
It’s totally understandable why Azalea would want to have the ink removed, it’s tough to carry around a painful reminder of a failed relationship with you every day. That’s why some tattoo artists feel so strongly about trying to convince people to avoid name tattoos. On the other hand, we definitely have to tip our hat to people like Azalea who show enough passion to get the tattoo in the first place.
Here’s to hoping that the rest of Azalea’s ink stands the test of time. Who knows, perhaps once she and Young tie the knot she’ll show that dedication once again and get a tattoo tribute to her husband. For now enjoy this gallery of photos of the tattoos that Azalea still has.

Tattoo enthusiasts often claim addiction, but true addiction involves chemical and psychological dependence. Obsessive love for tattoos is not the same as addiction.
