Video Follows the Text

Here at Inkedmag.com we spend every waking second of our days looking at tattoos—good tattoos, bad tattoos, sexy tattoos, silly tattoos, scary tattoos and every other type of tattoo you can imagine. So take that into consideration when we tell you that when this tattoo came across our Instagram feed last night everyone stopped what they were doing immediately to take in the sheer magnitude of what we had just experienced—somebody had “Trump” tattooed on their forehead.

All we had seen was a selfie of a man sporting a fresh tattoo of The Donald’s surname standing outside of Trump Tower, but we knew that we had to find this man. And find him we did. His name is Kyle Campbell and he is originally from Peoria, Illinois, and he was more than happy to talk to us about the bold political statement he has chosen to make.

“I was sick and tired of people making fun of me for supporting Trump,” Campbell explained. “Since I first posted that I support Donald Trump on my Facebook page my entire family has been mocking me and trying to get me to change my mind. So I had to show them that I was serious about my support for Mr. Trump.”

Like the enormous Mexican border wall that Trump dreams of, Campbell’s tattoo will grab everyone’s attention and raise your blood pressure one way or the other. “I expect that my tattoo is going to piss off a lot of people,” Campbell said. “But when Trump is in the White House the jerks that made fun of me will see that I was right all along. Although, honestly, I’m still a little worried about what my mom will think. Sorry, mom.”

Getting such a potentially derisive tattoo, especially on the face, is a life decision that shouldn’t be taken lightly by the person receiving the tattoo or by the person inking it. We spoke to tattooer Joe Reid about his experience tattooing Campbell and whether or not he had any reservations about doing the job.

“I don’t know if I’ve ever met someone more stoked to be getting a tattoo,” Reid told us. “[Campbell] wouldn’t even consider changing his mind about placement when I suggested maybe we make it a belly rocker instead. There’s a man that you know isn’t going to budge on his convictions, that’s for damn sure.”

Unsurprisingly, Campbell wasn’t lacking for enthusiasm as he discussed his newest ink. In fact, he described it as the best tattoo he’s ever seen on no less than 12 occasions in our relatively brief conversation. We wouldn’t be doing our job if we didn’t at least broach the topic of possibly regretting the tattoo down the road.

“Actually, to tell you the truth, my trip to Trump Tower made me regret the tattoo a little bit,” Campbell confessed. “I should have gone with gold ink.”
