Union J may not be on your radar if you’re not from the United Kingdom. The British boy band that formed in 2011 and placed fourth on ninth season of their country’s “The X Factor” in 2012 is on 1.5 million Twitter radars. And since their youngest member, 21-year-old George Shelley, just got a new tattoo and then tattooed his artist, they’ve landed on our radar.
In 2012, Shelley wasn’t a part of the pop act. He was a contestant on “The X Factor” as a solo artist but got the boot during the boot camp week. A trio called Triple J was competing on the show and Shelley was asked to join the group, thus making them Union J. The rest is history.
Yesterday, Shelley shared four pictures with his 735,000 Twitter followers, captioned with “NEW TATTOO! A wolf because they are pack animals, so am I.” That tattoo was done by Marc Prime at Behind Bars Piercing and Tattoo in Weston-Super-Mare, England. The photos show the process and the finished product. They also show Shelley tattooing his signature on Prime. And there’s a photo of that finished product as well. Flip through the photo gallery below to check them out.
