“You miss every chance you never take” says the tenacious mother of five, Amanda Knight, who took ninth place overall in the 2018 Inked Cover Girl Competition.
Amanda caught the tattoo bug at age fifteen, when she inked a row of stars across her own foot with a homemade machine and a guitar string. Today her most significant tattoo is the reaper and broken hourglass on her inner arm. It represents time and death serves as a reminder that our time in life is borrowed. In her post-competition interview, she stated that “anything lost can be found again except for time wasted”.
All of Amanda’s artwork is meaningful to her, but her favorite piece has a deep story with a happy ending behind it and is inked on her chest, close to her heart.
Being a part of the Inked Cover Girl Competition inspired Amanda to focus on opportunity, and opened her eyes to the amazing community surrounding her, supporting her, and rooting for her success.
