Celebrity tattooist Keith “Bang Bang” McCurdy tattooed the one and only Rihanna on Wednesday, August 12 in his New York City studio. Bang Bang and Rihanna both proudly shared the final product–an ankle tattoo reading “1988,” the year Ri Ri was born–on Instagram. The “Bitch Better Have My Money” singer wrote, “Tagged by my dear friend @bangbangnyc.”

Bang Bang on the other hand, declared @badgalriri to be his fave client writing, “Like I told you last night– you’re my favorite person to tattoo.” I mean, are we surprised? The two have been friends for ten years.

Bang Bang has a prestigious resume having worked on stars such as Selena Gomez, Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, LeBron James and supermodel Cara Delevingne.

Certainly he’s proud to tattoo all of Hollywood’s biggest celebs, and it is no question as to why they so often request him for their ink. See Rihanna’s new tattoo and Bang Bang with some of his biggest clients below.
