With the recent release of new Kurt Cobain death scene photos by the Seattle Police Department, people have been commenting that his “K” tattoo stands for the first letter of his name. Not true. He did not put the first letter of his first name into a shield like he was channeling Superman, the tattoo represents K Records. He tattooed it on himself, “to try and remind me to stay a child.” More photos of the tattoo, logo and scene follow.
