Lightning is terrifying. The idea that a bolt can just come down from the sky and smite you without a moment’s notice is enough to make a person afraid of going outside ever again. But those lucky ones who survive a lightning strike are often left with some of the most amazing looking scars. In fact, they sort of remind us of tattoos. You could definitely imagine someone getting some of these designs inked for purely aesthetic reasons. These scars are, in a way, truly beautiful. But please, don’t risk your life standing on a metal roof with a five iron raised to the sky trying to get one of these; just pay your local tattoo artist to give you their interpretation of Lichtenberg scarring.
