Sometimes you have to work with what you’ve got.
A scar, whether it be from an accident or a surgery, can have a significant effect on one’s self-esteem and many choose to dimish the appearance of them with a tattoo. Any artist will tell you that tattooing over damaged tissue is no easy feat because scars have a texture which doesn’t accept ink as easily as normal skin. However, the process can be made easier and result in a cleaner design if the tattooer is able to be innovative with the design. This means that they work with the texture and composition of the damaged skin to create a beautiful tattoo that perfectly camouflages the scar.
