Here Is The Other Awful Thing The Show Promotes
The Netflix original show 13 Reasons Why has quickly become one of the fastest growing entertainment phenomenon’s of 2017 —and we can definitely see why. Building off of Jay Asher’s The New York Times Best Selling novel of the same name, the show captures issues of mental illness, rape culture, and cyber bullying that many teens in high school can, unfortunately, relate to or sympathize with. The show, which many agree is controversial, has merit for its unapologetically raw storytelling approach, however, there is something about it that we still can’t get behind.
