Check Out the Best Tattoos from the 2019 Milano Tattoo Convention
Five words: Bulldog in big head mode
The Milano Tattoo Convention brings in hundreds of talented tattooers and thousands of passionate attendees for a three-day tattoo experience. It’s Italy’s largest tattoo convention, and one of the biggest in Europe. If you couldn’t attend from this side of the Atlantic, the good news is there’s a comparable show in the States. Tomorrow, Friday, 2/15/19 is the first day of this weekend’s Villain Arts Philadelphia, North America’s biggest tattoo convention. It’s a great chance to meet your favorite artists, find inspiration for your next tattoo, and see the cool new techniques and technology in the scene.
Three years ago, I attended my first tattoo convention at Milano. At the time, I’d just completed my internship with INKED magazine as a junior in college and was studying abroad in Florence. I spent one of my first weekends abroad in Milan for the show and had the opportunity to see artists like Sam Barber, Jak Connolly, Sarah Miller, and Steve Butcher working up close. Seeing these amazing artists in their element and being surrounded by the commotion of the exposition furthered my passion for this industry, leading me to INKED today.
This year, many of the industries top artists showed their stuff in Milan and it’s time you took a peek at the best in show. Whether you’re a fan of realism, black-and-grey, neo-traditional, or a combination of the three, you’ll certainly be impressed by the ink on this list.
