Take a Look at the Tattoos of 90 Day Fiancé
Now that's a lot of tribal
For decades, TLC has created some pretty unusual and totally bingeable TV shows. Growing up, my family consumed plenty of garbage reality television courtesy of TLC, including “Jon and Kate Plus 8,” “Little People, Big World,” and “19 Kids and Counting.” We were hooked on these strange and curious characters, situations and stories, tuning in to shenanigans week after week.
Since 2014, one of the network’s most popular franchises has been “90 Day Fiancé” which features couples who are in the process of applying for a K-1 visa. These couples typically consist of one American and one foreign citizen experiencing dating in real life after months (or years) of long distance. The show has introduced the world to some pretty wild couples, many of which are doomed from the start. From major lies to extreme age gaps to lifestyle differences to cultural clashes, many couples from this show don’t make it through the 90 days. However, they certainly provide entertaining television along the way.
“90 Day Fiancé” has created seven main seasons, as well as a plethora of spin-offs including “90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?,” “90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days,” and “90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way.” As a whole, the franchise has introduced many cast members with visible tattoos and these pieces have just as much personality as the people wearing them. Take a look at tattoos on some of the most memorable “90 Day Fiancé” cast members in the gallery below, then let us know your favorite couple to watch from this franchise in the comments section on social media.
Geoffrey
Geoffrey appeared on the fourth (and most recent) season of “90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days.” On the show, he traveled from Tennessee to Russia to meet his girlfriend Varya.
Geoffrey has some of the most interesting tattoos of any “90 Day Fiancé” cast member. His work is straight from the 90s and includes a faded centipede on his bicep, several pieces on his back and what’s that—nipple framing tribal? Amazing.
Big Ed
Big Ed was the breakout star of “90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days,” shocking fans worldwide with his mayo shampoo process, blatant misogyny and overall appearance. He traveled to the Philippines to meet his girlfriend Rosemarie on season four.
Big Ed, like Geoffrey, has several tattoos straight from the 90s. In a hilarious shower scene, we saw Ed rocking two rune-like symbols (possible Celtic) on each bicep and he appears to have either tribal or Sanskirt on his back.
Erika
Erika was another fresh face of season four of “90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days,” and this Australian photographer welcomed American girlfriend Stephanie to stay with her during the show.
Erika is an avid tattoo lover and unlike Geoffrey or Big Ed, most of her collection appears to be quite modern. Erika loves bright and colorful fashion, beauty and accessories, which translates over into her tattoo collection. Much of her collection is inspired by popular culture and she’s collected pieces from Disney films, “Labyrinth,” “RuPaul’s Drag Race” and more.
Deavan
Deavan and Jihoon appeared on spin-off “90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way,” with Deavan traveling to Seoul, South Korea to live with Jihoon. They’ve appeared in both season one and two of the show, and even have a son together.
Deavan has several visible tattoos, which include a tribute to the film “Edward Scissorhands” on her bicep, a lady head on her forearm and two black-and-grey pieces on her thighs.
Avery
Avery appeared on season four of “90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days,” traveling to Australia from Washington to be with her boyfriend Ash.
Avery appears to have only one visible tattoo and it’s a large tribal and floral half-sleeve.
Asuelu
We were first introduced to Asuelu during season six of “90 Day Fiancé,” and now he has two children with his wife Kalani. The pair also appeared on spin-off “90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?”
Asuelu is from Samoa and has a traditional tribal tattoo that begins at mid torso, extends down his stomach and onto his thighs. In an Instagram post, he showed off the full tattoo and explained the meaning behind it.
Jay
Jay appeared on season 6 of “90 Day Fiancé” and moved from Jamaica to Pennsylvania to live with his fiancé Ashley. The pair also appeared on “90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?”
Jay has quite a few tattoos on his chest and arms, even getting a face tattoo of the outline of Jamaica during his time on the show. He even worked as a tattoo artist while living in America and cheated on fiancé Ashley with a client during the show.
Rebecca
Rebecca traveled to Tunisia to meet boyfriend Zied on season three of “90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days.”
She has two full sleeves and to this day encourages Zied to wear temporary pieces on social media.
Steven
Steven appeared on season six of “90 Day Fiancé,” with his fiancé Olga, who traveled from Russia to live with him. The pair have a son together and are still an item, residing in Maryland.
Steven has a large chest tattoo of lotus blossoms, which appears to be the start of a more elaborate coverup design.

Hooked on Ink
Tattoo enthusiasts often claim addiction, but true addiction involves chemical and psychological dependence. Obsessive love for tattoos is not the same as addiction.
