Take a Look at the Japanese Orgasm Face Sweeping Social Media

Have you heard of Ahegao?

Remember the duck face? Well, here’s the latest facial expression trend sweeping social media. Ahegao, also called ‘O-Face’ is a term used to describe the facial expression of manga and hentai characters during an orgasm. The term first began being used in the 1990s and during the mid-2000s, many artists became incorporating the facial expression into their designs. Typically, ahegao is characterized by rolled eyes, hanging tongue, blushed cheeks, and sometimes drool. Today, it’s become a meme within both Asian and Western cultures—partially thanks to cosplay model Belle Delphine.

Belle Delphine is a 19-year-old cosplay model based in the United Kingdom. Since debuting on social media, she’s gained nearly three million followers on Instagram and runs an active Patreon account. She’s likely inspired the rise in ahegao faces on social media and throughout internet popular culture.
