Deadly Black Widow Tattoos
The trailer for 'Black Widow' dropped today, check it out along with some inspired tattoos
Spoilers from “Avengers: Endgame” follow. If you are the one person who hasn’t seen it yet, skip over the words and just look at the pretty pictures. You’ve been warned.
It seems like only yesterday that we saw Natasha Romanoff, aka Black Widow—the ruthless assassin turned hero played by Scarlett Johansson in the Marvel Cinematic Universe—play a pivotal role in “Avengers: Endgame.” Romanoff got the best of her pal Hawkeye and sacrificed her life for the good of the entire universe in order to obtain the Soul Stone.
While comic book heroes die all the time only to be brought back later on, which is pretty much the entire premises of “Avengers: Endgame” in the first place, it really looked like Romanoff was dead dead. And yet, here we are with a “Black Widow” movie, complete with a brand new trailer.
As you should probably be able to tell from the trailer, “Black Widow” takes place before the events of “Avengers: Endgame.” You can tell this because Romanoff is very much alive kicking and punching and what not. Jokes aside, Marvel boss Kevin Feige confirmed that the movie takes place shortly after the events of “Captain America: Civil War” with Romanoff heading back to Russia to take care of some unfinished business.
Our favorite part of the trailer is seeing David Harbour rocking some sweet Russian tattoos before throwing on his Red Guardian costume. If you didn’t fall in love with him completely during “Stranger Things,” this look will finally push you over the edge.
We’re happy to see a standalone movie with Johansson, she’s definitely done enough time in the MCU to earn it. Not to mention that Romanoff is a thoroughly complex and interesting character with lots to explore. In other words, it doesn’t completely feel like one last chance to cash in on the character before she is completely forgotten. Because, in the current timeline she is dead as a doornail. You can’t undo her death without plucking the soul (stone) out of “Avengers: Endgame.”
Anyway, enough nerd words, more nerd tattoos. Here’s a gallery of rad Black Widow/MCU tattoos.
