Why This Cancer Survivor is Removing His Head Tattoo
Can you believe the outcome of this huge tattoo?
Chemotherapy is one of the most used drug treatments for cancer and one of its most common side effects is hair loss. Hair loss can be very traumatic for cancer patients, regardless of gender, and many seek out temporary, as well as permanent, hair solutions. However, as 48-year-old Marcus Miller of Scotland can now attest to, these solutions can often become problems of their own.
Miller lost his hair after undergoing treatment for testicular cancer and sought out a tattooer for a head tattoo that would mimic the appearance of hair. According to Metro UK, he spent £250 (approximately $321) to get a scalp tattoo that would resemble a shaved head, however, he was left with a patchy blue monstrosity.
Miller got the tattoo done over two years ago and has allegedly spent thousands of pounds on customized wigs to cover up the speckled mess. He’s currently in the process of having the tattoo removed by a specialist in Scotland, who called his skull “the worst tattoo he’s ever seen” and is offering the removal treatments at no charge.
