50 Sick Sad ‘Daria’ Tattoos
Who's your favorite "Daria" character?
In 1997, following guest appearances on the wildly successful MTV animated series “Beavis and Butt-Head,” Daria Morgendorffer earned her own spin-off series. “Daria,” named after the show’s protagonist, aired for five seasons and became one of the most successful shows on the network. The show follows Morgendorffer, a smart and cynical teen who observes the world around alongside her best friend, Jane Lane. “Daria” is set in the fictional suburban town of Lawndale and many of the scenes center on Daria’s interactions with her immediate family— her mother Helen, father Jake and younger sister Quinn. Other reoccurring characters of the show include Jane’s brother Trent, the local goth Andrea, the ditzy cheerleader Brittany and the brilliant yet popular Jodie. Jodie is expected to appear in her own spin-off show, titled “Jodie” and will voiced by Tracee Ellis Ross.
Despite not airing a new episode since 2001 (aside from a film and a television special in 2002), “Daria” remains one of the most popular animated shows of all time. Daria Morgendorffer is one of the most beloved animated characters and continues to inspire animators for years to come. To this day, fans of the show and it’s creative characters continue to pay homage through permanent tattoos. Tattoo artists have taken inspiration from Daria, Jane, Quinn and even more of the characters over the years, creating truly spectacular ink.
