Delicious Donut Tattoos
The sugary breakfast treat is so beloved that people don't just want to eat them, they want to wear their donut tattoos for life.
When I was a kid, I was rarely given the opportunity to pick my own breakfast. My mom was a firm believer in starting the day off with a healthy meal. As an adult, I understand this sensibility and have adopted her policy for myself. But when I was a kid, it was Hell. There were so many sugary cereals to choose from, pop tarts to be consumed and, most importantly, donuts to eat. Thus, when I had that chance to choose my breakfast, donuts were always where my heart led me.
I’m not the only one to have a love for donuts. The folks you’ll find in the gallery below have shown their adoration for the circular sweets by getting donut tattoos.
One thing that I find particularly interesting about donut tattoos, is the donut that people choose to get tattooed. More often than not, it’s a pink frosted donut with sprinkles, the kind of donut that we’ve seen Homer Simpson drool over for decades. I don’t know about you, but this is rarely the donut that I’ve chosen to consume. If I’m going sprinkles, that frosting is definitely going to be chocolate. Then there is the beautiful simplicity of a glazed donut, or the gooey goodness of a jelly donut. Or how about a Boston Cream donut? Those things rule.
Yet, when it comes to tattoos, it makes sense to rally around the pinky, as people often call it. Just look at it! It’s iconic and gorgeous. The pink frosting catches your eye and immediately your brain sends down the signal to get you salivating. Mmmmm, donuts.
We hope that this collection of donut tattoos doesn’t make you too hungry. But it will, oh it will. Enjoy.
