Face Masks Help Keep Us Safe During the COVID-19 Pandemic
The CDC recommends use of a cloth face mask in order to slow the spread of the deadly virus.
The COVID-19 virus has spread throughout the world, infecting over a million people and taking the lives of tens of thousands of people. We’ve had to take some very strict measures in order to slow the spread of the virus and promote social distancing.
As a society we need to do our best to remain at home, as self isolation is the most effective means of stopping the spread. For those that don’t have the luxury of working from home, or for when we need to go to grab essential items like groceries, there are a ton of precautions that the Center for Disease Control has recommended that we take.
Along these are avoiding touching things, avoiding touching your face, washing your hands for at least 20 seconds when you come home and maintaining a distance of at least six feet from other people. One of the other precautions, that has become mandatory in some states, is the wearing of a face mask.
A simple cloth face mask can do a huge part in stopping the spread of the virus. This is particularly important for those that may be infected but have yet to show signs. In other words, even if you feel fine, you could be spreading the virus to others that are at high risk. Wearing a face mask protects you and your community.
As face masks become part of our new normal over the coming months, why not throw a little style into your choice of covering? The Inked Shop has an immense collection of face masks available.
We’re going to include some of our favorites in the gallery below, with direct links in the caption. Or you can click here to check out the entire collection.
