This British Grandmother Has 38 Tattoos of Spurs Manager Jose Mourinho
This lady's love for "The Special One" is bordering on the extreme
Tattoos and football (AKA soccer for the Americans out there) go hand-in-hand. Players are often covered in ink and we tend to obsess over them. Fans are even known to go out and get tattoos honoring their favorite players. We’re even used to seeing fans go a little crazy with their tattoos. Yet, when we heard that a 62-year-old grandmother from England had gotten 38 tattoos celebrating Jose Mourinho we were astounded.
To say that Vivien Bodycote loves the firebrand manager is possibly the understatement of the century. Mourinho never stays with one club very long, in fact, he is infamous for blowing up in the third year of his tenure everywhere he has ever been. So the love Bodycote has clearly goes beyond club and country. Well beyond. “He’s not just the special one, he’s the only one,” Bodycote told Brivalix. “I would die if I saw him in the flesh, and for Mourinho I would cheat.”
Above you can see one of Bodycote’s most recent additions, celebrating Mourinho’s return to the sideline with Tottenham Hotspur. We’re not quite sure why the tattoo includes the San Antonio Spurs logo and not that of the North London football club, but I guess when you have 38 Mourinho tattoos you end up taking some creative liberties here and there.
Some of Bodycote’s tattoos are downright hilarious, including the Easter egg below. The level of creativity that she has shown paying tribute to Mou is to be applauded. As is the dedication to doing something so permanent as a tattoo for a man who has never found a job that he wasn’t ready to leave.
While it remains to be seen whether or not Mourinho will be adored at White Hart Lane, Mourinho can rest easy knowing that he has at least one fan that will stick with him through thick and thin.
