Hot Sauce Tattoos
These tattoos really bring the heat!
Food, for me, is merely a conduit for hot sauce.
To be clear, I’m not talking about giving my system a ghost pepper enema every single meal. I don’t need every meal to rate around 3,000,000 on the Scoville Scale, that would liquefy my insides. But I do need a little spice. And the people in the gallery below understand what I’m talking about, they carry their hot sauce with them everywhere in the form of hot sauce tattoos.
My favorite thing about hot sauce is the variety of different flavors available, all of them packing the heat. For any dish you prepare there is a specific hot sauce that compliments it perfectly.
Chorizo tacos require Tapatio. Biscuits and gravy is one of my all-time favorite breakfast foods, but only if I have some Texas Pete’s to splash on them. Pozole needs a couple of dashes of Cholula. Gumbo without Tabasco should be immediately poured down the drain. Only a psychopath would slurp up a bowl of pho without sriracha. And it should be considered a crime against humanity to make buffalo wings without Frank’s Red Hot.
And when my head is pounding from the night before, I absolutely must have a Bloody Mary with liberal pours of both vodka and Crystal.
Here at the Inked office, I’ve got a bottle of Tapatio in my desk, the video editor has a bottle of some small-batch Korean hot sauce and the tattooers have a whole corner of the conference room filled with hot sauces. It’s a pretty spicy office, if you will. Just like this is a pretty spicy gallery of tattoos!
