5 Celebrities with LGBT Pride Tattoos
Did you know these stars celebrated the LGBT community with ink?
In honor of Pride month, we’re celebrating by taking a look at celebrities who’re rocking LGBT-inspired ink. These stars express their connection to the queer community in a variety of ways, from unicorns to equal signs. Take a look at the Pride tattoos in the gallery below and let us know your thoughts on this story in the comments section.
Nico Tortorella
Actor and activist Nico Tortorella is non binary and he expressed his identity with a permanent tattoo. “In the recent wake of this administrations blatant attacks on intersex, trans, and gender nonconforming rights, I had to find a way to best express myself, through art” shared Tortorella on Instagram.
Miley Cyrus
Back in 2011, Miley Cyrus stood in solidarity with the LGBT community by getting an delicate equal sign inked on her right ring finger. She showed off the tattoo in a tweet, adding the caption “ALL LOVE is equal.”
Lady Gaga
Throughout her career, Lady Gaga has done an incredible amount of work for the LGBT community, whether it be through philanthropy or music. To pay homage to the community, Gaga has a unicorn inked on her thigh.
Frank Ocean
In 2019, musician Frank Ocean got a tattoo of an illustration by Simpsons creator Matt Groening. The tattoo is of his “Homo vs. Hetero” drawing, which illustrates more similarities than differences between straight and LGBT people.
Bea Miller
Like Cyrus, singer Bea Miller also has an equal sign tattoo. Miller got the tattoo in 2015 when marriage equality was legalized. “Thought it was the perfect day to get this tattoo #LoveWins,” Miller shares on her Twitter account. “I have two moms, gay uncles, lesbian aunts and many LGBT friends. I will always happily support all of them.”
