Machine Gun Kelly Removed All of His Tattoos
Take a look at the actor without his trademark tattoos
Actor and rapper Machine Gun Kelly has an expansive collection of tattoos that cover his chest, arms, and back. For many of his film roles, including 2014’s Beyond the Lights, 2018’s Bird Box, and 2019’s upcoming Big Time Adolescence. However, not every film is asking for a tatted up actor and recently, Kelly underwent a dramatic transformation for a role.
On March 22nd, The Dirt was released to American audiences on Netflix. In this biographical drama, Kelly plays Tommy Lee, the drummer of Mötley Crüe. And in order to accurately play this part, Kelly needed to cover up his own tattoos in order to be conviving as the glam metal icon.
In a video released to his Instagram, Kelly shares the process he went through to cover up his tattoos. To pass as Lee, Kelly had his tattoos airbrushed over for four months straight. And if that wasn’t wild enough, he also had Lee’s own tattoos painted over several existing layers of paint!
