Marilyn Manson Is Preforming at Astroworld

Early today, Travis Scott tweeted the artist lineup for his long anticipated Astroworld Festival. The list includes expected names such as Gucci Mane, Young Thug, Pharrell, and… Marilyn Manson?

Manson has long been a fan of music that is alternative and challenges societal norms, so it makes sense on some level that he would attend Astroworld. The festival serves as a space for the weird and wild of rap, and it seems that Scott is trying to push the misfit aspect of the show even more so this year.  

Rapper Travis Scott founded Astroworld in 2018 in Houston, Texas across from an abandoned amusement park, and the show was immediately a hit. Scott himself is seen as a more alternative rap artist, and hosting Manson at the festival just puts him that much more into the “alternative” category.
