Tattooed Mom Arrested After Leaving Baby in Car to Take Shots

During the heat of summer, there’s nothing worse that you can do as a parent (whether of a human child or fur baby) than leave them in a hot car. However, that’s exactly what 26-year-old mother Samantha Vaughan did. At 2am July 2th, Vaughan left her one-year-old child in a running car while she went to the TrackSide Nightclub in Copperas Cove, Texas to take shots.

After finding the baby in the unlocked vehicle, police found Vaughan shortly after inside of the club. When they confronted her, Vaughan spouted a racial slur before taking a blood alcohol test, which came back at 0.148. While in the squad car on the way to the Copperas Cove Police Department, Vaughan slammed her forehead onto a metal bar TWICE. She’s currently facing charges of abandoning/endangering a child with intent to return, resisting arrest and terroristic threats to a public servant.
