Celebrate Emmy History with Schitt’s Creek Tattoos

Last night, “Schitt’s Creek” made television history when it snagged the awards for Outstanding Comedy Series, Outstanding Lead Actor, Outstanding Lead Actress, Outstanding Supporting Actor, Outstanding Supporting Actress, Outstanding Writing and Outstanding Directing in a Comedy Series. It became the first comedy series to claim the four main acting categories, as well as the seven major awards, in a single year.
“Schitt’s Creek” was created by actor and writer Dan Levy and premiered on CBC in 2015. The series follows a formerly wealthy family who lose their riches and must rebuild their lives in their last remaining asset, a town called Schitt’s Creek. The series stars Eugene Levy as the family patriarch, Johnny Rose, the real life father to Dan Levy. Catherine O’Hara plays matriarch Moira Rose, an eccentric ex-soap opera actress and mother to adult children David Rose (played by Dan Levy) and Alexis Rose (played by Annie Murphy). “Schitt’s Creek” ran for 80 episodes over the course of six seasons and earned a number of accolades from the Canadian Screen Awards to the GLAAD Media Awards to MTV Movie & TV Awards.
