Shawn Mendes Got a Tattoo for His Little Sister
Take a look at the singer's fresh ink
And the celebrity big brother of the year goes to…Shawn Mendes! No, we’re not talking about the reality competition, just a famous guy who loves his little sister. Shawn Mendes is a singer and songwriter who’s known for chart topping hits such as “Stitches,” “Treat You Better,” “If I Can’t Have You,” and “Señorita.” He’s sang his way into the hearts of millions and he shows no signs of slowing down any time soon. In addition to loving music, Mendes loves his little sister Aaliyah. Aaliyah is Mendes’ 16-year-old sister, whom he frequently shares photos of on Instagram.
Recently, Mendes took his love for his sister to the next level by getting her name tattooed on his chest. Mendes visited Los Angeles artist Kane Navasard for a brand new tattoo, getting “Aaliyah Maria” inked over his heart. The piece is inked in Navasard’s signature fine-line style.
This isn’t the first time Mendes visited Navasard for a tattoo. Back in November of 2019, Mendes and his girlfriend Camila Cabello visited Navasard for tattoos. Mendes got a small “A” behind his ear, which is another tribute to his sister Aaliyah. Cabello got her first tattoo, the phrase “It’s a mystery” on her ring finger. The tattoo is a quote from one of Cabello’s favorite movies, “Shakespeare in Love.”
What do you think of Shawn Mendes’ new tattoo? Would you get a tattoo for your sibling? How about more than one? Let us know your thoughts on this story in the comments section on social media.
