Are you pumped for "Thor: Love and Thunder?"

Five years after the release of his last Thor film, Chris Hemsworth is taking center stage once again in “Thor: Love and Thunder.” This is the fourth Thor film that Hemsworth has appeared in, following 2011’s “Thor,” 2013’s “Thor: The Dark World” and 2017’s “Thor: Ragnarok.” Hemsworth has also portrayed the character in “The Avengers” film series and has lent his voice to the character in the Disney+ series “What If…?” “Thor: Love and Thunder” is the 29th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and is directed by Taika Waititi, who also directed the 2017 film.

The film centers on Hemsworth’s character and his conflict with new villain Gorr the God Butcher. This antagonist is portrayed by Christian Bale, who many fans know from his work as DC Comics Batman in 2005’s “Batman Begins,” 2008’s “The Dark Knight” and 2012’s “The Dark Knight Rises.” Russell Crowe is also joining the MCU, portraying Greek mythology’s Zeus. The film also stars returning cast members Tessa Thompson, Jaimie Alexander, Waititi and Natalie Portman.
