Travis Barker Adds a Spiderweb Tattoo to His Collection
The world's most famous drummer got the tattoo in a late night session with black-and-grey master Chuey Quintanar.
Upon first glance, Travis Barker appears to be completely covered in tattoos. From the waist up the world-renowned drummer for Blink-182 and about 100 other projects has nary an inch of open real estate left for new work. On Monday, Barker shared photos of some brand new ink on his knee and the collective response of the internet focused less on the spectacular tattoo by Chuey Quintanar, but on the revelation that Barker’s legs are mostly uninked.
In an interview with Inked from November 2012, Barker told us about how he lost many of his earliest tattoos after surviving a plane crash in 2008. Barker suffered severe burns over 65% of his body and nearly lost his right foot. “All of my first tattoos were gone after that plane crash and my skin grafts,” Barker told us. “So I have a second chance to do my legs all over again, which is kind of cool for that to come out of a bad situation.”
At the time of our interview, Barker had been throwing around the idea of recreating the tattoos that he had on his legs prior to the accident, but Monday’s session shows that he may have rethought his gameplan. Quintanar, who is responsible for the Virgin Mary tattoo on Barker’s scalp, added an incredibly clean spiderweb to Barker’s knee.
We can’t wait to see what other tattoos Barker eventually adds to his legs. Given his taste in tattoos and tattooers, the work is sure to be impeccable.

Tattoo enthusiasts often claim addiction, but true addiction involves chemical and psychological dependence. Obsessive love for tattoos is not the same as addiction.
