Travis Scott Got a Mindful New Tattoo
Take a look at Travis Scott's new tattoo by Dr. Woo
29-year-old rapper Travis Scott is one tatted up musician and although much of his collection was inked before he made it big, he’s gotten more covered in recent years. Since breaking through the mainstream with hits like “Antidote,” “Goosebumps,” “Sicko Mode” and “Highest in the Room,” he’s spent some of his dough visiting a few of the most sought after artists in the world. In the past few years, Scott has visited world renowned artists Scott Campbell (who inked his head) and JonBoy (who inked “Stormi” for his daughter on his arm). Now, he’s taken a page out of Miley Cyrus’, Zoë Kravitz’s and Demi Lovato’s books by visiting Los Angeles’ Dr. Woo.
Dr. Woo is known for two things: creating incredibly intricate fine-line black-and-grey tattoos and inking half of Hollywood. He’s one of the most sought after artists and Scott went to the right guy when it came to his latest piece. Scott got a piece inspired by a vintage phrenology chart, with the parts of the brain sectioned off into different, labeled compartments. According to Scott, his brain (or at least the tattoo’s) is broken up into one part rage, one part God, one part thrill, one part utopia, one part up, one part “mock 10” and three parts crazy. The tattoo also includes an intricate solar system, with planets Earth, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn visible, closer toward the bottom of the limb.
