25+ Fabulous Trixie and Katya Tattoos
Do you have a favorite drag queen?
Back in 2015, two drag queens from opposite sides of the country met while competing on “RuPaul’s Drag Race” and the world was never the same again. Those drag queens are of course, Trixie Mattel and Katya. While neither queen won their original season, they’d go on to become two of the franchise’s biggest success stories.
Although both queens were beloved on their original series, that’s not where their fame really took off. Instead, they became internet sensations when their web series, “UNHhhh” went viral. “UNHhhh” is a weekly show featuring Trixie and Katya that aired its first episode on March 25th, 2016. Since then, the web series (which airs on the WOWPresents YouTube channel) has released 136 episodes, with topics ranging from “Drugs” to “The 90s” to “Crying.” And for those who’ve never seen an episode, let me break it down for you. You see, Trixie and Katya get together in the studio to discuss a weekly topic. In that time, shenanigans and countless inside jokes ensue, with the clever editing tying the show together.
Since “UNHhhh” took off, both Trixie and Katya have appeared on “RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars,” with Katya placing as a runner-up in season 2 and Trixie winning the top prize in season 3. They also starred in “The Trixie & Katya Show” on Viceland and “I Like to Watch” on Netflix. From “UNHhhh,” Trixie Mattel has also tackled a number of projects on her own, including a cosmetics line, three folk albums and a solo YouTube channel.
In honor of the dynamic duo that is Trixie and Katya, take a look at 26 tattoos from talented artists around the world depicting the famous queens. Then let us know if you have a favorite drag queen in the comments section on social media.
