The World’s Weirdest Tattoo Memes

Get ready for some hilarious, nonsensical, odd and just plain weird tattoo memes generated by artificial intelligence.

In a nation fiercely divided by politics and personal ideology, memes may be the last remaining thing connecting us all. Simply put—everybody loves memes. We use memes to make us laugh, we use memes to show our political values, we use memes to argue about our sports allegiances and some of us have even become a meme.

Here at Inked, we’re especially fond of tattoo memes, as you may have guessed. So when we discovered an AI (artificial intelligence) meme generator, we couldn’t wait to get to playing with it.

It’s called “This Meme Does Not Exist,” and what it does is let you take one of the 48 most popular memes (all your favorites are here), and it generates random text.

If you want to take things up a notch, as we did, you can add in a word or two for it to build around. We threw in a bunch of different words related to our beloved tattoo industry and the results were, well, judge for yourself.

Sometimes, the meme that was generated was amazingly accurate.

More often, the answer was delightfully nonsensical.

And sometimes it was just plain mean.

And every once in a while, the generator spit out a perfect piece of art. A piece that is truly a reflection of these trying times. A meme  that belongs in the frickin’ Louvre.

When we tried to be more specific—like when we addressed the debate between tattoo methods—things got a little weirder. It wouldn’t be that much of a stretch to see somebody actually plan out one of these memes.

When we used memes to compare various tattooing styles, well, things got a little testy.

When we turned our attention towards crappy tattooers—kitchen magicians, scratchers, etc.—the memes were straight fire.

We took aim at some popular trends…

When we kept the search terms at the most basic, “tattoos,” the results were still pretty great.

The possibilities are limitless. “This Meme Does Not Exist” is a great way to burn a couple of hours giggling instead of doing work. Or, if you’re really clever, you can turn it INTO WORK. BOOM.

I’m going to leave you with one of the silliest and most ridiculous memes that it created. For some reason, this is the one that resonated with me the most. Enjoy.
