Boris is one of the biggest names in tattooing. Having first got his start in 1992, he has been an icon and mentor for various color realism artists such as Moni Marino, Randy Engelhard, and Nikko Hurtado. In fact, after 23 years in the industry, it wasn’t until 2015 that Boris decided to get inked himself by none other than Mr. Hurtado. In this latest episode of Portfolio Peek, Sullen TV wanted to get an inside look at the past works of Boris including some of his favorite back pieces, works in black and grey, and first attempts at tattooing realism without black outlines. Take a look at this video here to see how Boris got his start, where he thinks his work is headed, and, of course, get some inside stories on some of the coolest pieces in his portfolio.
