Audiences are already terrified of Hereditary

Without a doubt, one of the greatest horror films of all time is The Exorcist. Directed by William Peter Blatty, the 1973 film is the perfect combination of religion, paranormal activity, and disturbed children. Many films over the last decade have attempted to emulate the success of The Exorcist, however, none of it’s spinoffs have had the same critical, commercial, and cultural success. But, for rookie director Ari Aster, who first received acclaim for the short film ‘Munchausen’ in 2013, his debut feature film may be the cinematic satisfaction horror fans have been craving. His film Hereditary, which also focuses on paranormality and a haunted child, already has the horror community talking. The trailer, which was released this past week, has many squirming for the film’s release and it’s time our audience got a taste of the supernatural motion picture.
