Watch Out World! Bella Thorne is One “Wild Kitty”
Former Disney darling Bella Thorne has followed in the footsteps of fellow Disney alums Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato, each of whom was all too eager to shed her innocent, good-girl reputation in favor of a sexier image, complete with a more mature makeover, an edgier wardrobe, and some new tattoos, of course. The 18-year-old actress, who starred in the Disney Channel series Shake It Up, took to Snapchat last week to share a photo of her new tattoo, done on September 13, a two-piece job featuring the phrase “wild kitty” inked in black capital letters on the backs of her calves.
Bella Thorne may have just turned 18 last year, but the actress has been systematically distancing herself from her good-girl past for a while now, and this “wild kitty” ink on her calves is actually her third tattoo to date. She also has an outline of a heart tattooed on her right shoulder, and “B2” inked on the inside of her right wrist, a tribute to best friend and rumored girlfriend, Bella Pendergast. Bella Thorne even went so far as to go under the needle earlier this summer, to have her eyebrows semi-permanently inked on.
On the day she debuted her new “wild kitty” tattoo, Bella Thorne endured an intense workout at Carrie’s Pilates Plus in West Hollywood and posted snaps of her lunch and outfit on social media, before heading out to the tattoo shop, giving off the vibe that getting inked was just another task to check off her to-do list. It’s a well-known fact that Thorne has worked hard to live her life the way she wants to, after being told what to do at every turn by her bosses at the Disney Channel, and now the 18-year-old lives her life totally unfiltered, which is something we can totally appreciate.
So far this summer, we have seen Bella Thorne dye the ends of her hair bright pink and come out as bisexual on Twitter in the chillest way possible, and the actress is now set to star in a new TV series called Famous in Love, due out next year. As for the meaning behind Thorne’s new “wild kitty” tattoo, the actress called the fresh ink “self-explanatory” on Instagram, so we’re guessing the tat is yet another way for the former Disney darling to cement her bad-girl status.
