This Nigerian Boy was only 2 years-old when he was found naked, on the brink of death from starvation and dehydration and riddled with worms.
He would have certainly died if Anja Ringgren Loven had not taken the boy into her care and nursed him back to health.

That’s when the iconic image of Anja giving the poor little boy a drink from her water bottle surfaced.
