Getting ready for the Fourth of July is always a big deal. After all, we are celebrating America—it’s only right that we put together our best looks. Makeup tutorial videos might scare you (they scare me!) because they are so often made possible with fancy products, a steady hand and Picasso’s talent.
For those of you who are not the next great artist, don’t fret. The videos below are doable by most anybody, with an exception of one or two. In case of any life-ruining mishaps, we suggest grabbing your best going-out buddy and getting ready together before heading to the party. Keep in mind that if you’re going to a BBQ, it’s going to be hot and therefore you are going to sweat and your make up is going to run. If that’s your sitch, don’t pile it on—less is more. If you plan on swimming on the Fourth, keep the makeup minimal and stick to a classic red lip that can be reapplied without worry.
P.S. If you don’t think you’re capable of painting an American Flag on your lips (you’re not alone), click here for The American Flag temporary lip tattoo from Violent Lips.
