What Tattoo Are You?
We took a stab at the meme trend taking over Instagram
Several days ago, a friend of mine shared a photo to their story of a frog with their name on it. I was intrigued and stumbled into the page @what_frog_are_you, which is currently hosting over 216K followers. I was enthralled by all the amazing pictures of frogs in various positions and situations. And once I found my own name on this list, I was elated.
I grew up never being able to find my name on a magnet or a necklace at gift shops, which really does something to your psyché as a child. I always assumed my name was too unusual and too uncommon to be branded on commemorative swag. But this page gave me hope and then soon after, I saw that my food soulmate, Chipotle, had jumped in one the craze. And not only had they posted this meme on their Instagram, out of millions of names, they picked mine by chance.
Since then, I’ve seen tons of variations on this trend—from dogs to scene kids to Harry Styles. It’s incredible and something that we can’t help but fall down the rabbit hole for. For many of us, we love seeing our own name and it makes us feel special. This is because some part of us feels like that meme was made just for us. At least, that’s what I take from it.

Tattoo enthusiasts often claim addiction, but true addiction involves chemical and psychological dependence. Obsessive love for tattoos is not the same as addiction.
