Hang Dai Studios has gathered some of their finest talents to come together for a signing event where you can not only get comics signed by some great artists but you can also take a step toward becoming a bone marrow donor by getting swabbed by the people from Delete Blood Cancer.
The signing is taking place at JHU Comic Books on Wednesday, May 28, which also happens to be World Blood Cancer day. In addition to celebrating Dean Haspiel’s art in FF #5 the event is being used to help out Seth Kushner, the creator of SCHMUCK, as he battles leukemia.
Kushner is in the hospital awaiting a bone marrow transplant and like so many others stricken by leukemia he has yet to find a donor. Delete Blood Cancer will be registering people and testing to see if they are able to donate. With a simple swab of the cheek you will be able to take the first step in helping to save someone’s life.
Artists signing at the event include Haspiel (The Fox, American Splendor), Christa Cassano (The Giant Effect), Josh Neufield (The Vagabonds), Fred Van Lente (Archer & Armstrong, Conan the Barbarian), and Joe Infurnari.
Come on out, have some fun, get some cool comics, and help save someone’s life.
Check out more information on the event here.
