Rihanna Gets Traditional Maori Tat Chiseled On Hand
Celebrities get tattooed all the time it seems, but not many forgo a tattoo machine in place of a chisel when getting ink done. Travelling on a worldwide tour, acclaimed ‘Diamonds’ singer, Rihanna, stopped at the tattoo studio Moko Ink in West Auckland, New Zealand to get one of her most adventurous tattoos to date. Here, the singer requested a traditional Maori tattoo to add to her collection of custom work. Tattoo artist Inia Taylor was happy to do so, and even allowed a brief video of the process to be recorded. Maori tattoos are typically stylized tribal in appearance and are applied point by point with ink, a chisel, and a mallet. Needless to say, getting that done on her right hand must have hurt. But you can see here for yourself in this brief clip.
